SPEED UP HISTORY NAVIGATION IN OPERA BROWSER

Whenever a user tries to load a previously accessed page, opera first attempts to find what type of webpage it is, Is the page a static webpage? Does it rely on scripts to display the information? Based on these findings it decides from where it should the webpage. However, some users might want to load the webpage from cache always. It speeds up the display of the webpage and it was a default setting of opera version 8 and earlier.

If you wish to do so, just enter opera:config#UserPrefs|HistoryNavigationMode in the address bar of your opera browser, and change the value from 1 to 3.

Opera History

  1. Automatic Mode: Opera browser decides whether to load the page from its local cache or retrieve the page from the web server
  2. Compatible Mode: The webpage is always loaded from the web server.
  3. Fast Mode: The webpage is always loaded from the local browser cache.

Now scroll down and save the settings. That’s it, your pages from history are loaded in blazing speed from now.

Note: If a webpage heavily relies on scripts to display the information, you might see a disrupted webpage. Just press the reload button in such cases.
