Google challenges the SEO fixation

Wow! Just when we thought we’d settled around the idea of SEO, Google baits us with another brilliant feature, something like the Instant Preview and the cards fall right off the deck.

Google Challenges

So, the story goes that Google has unleashed a brand new feature on its search engine as of today and this lets you have a sneak peek of what lies beneath all the Meta tags on your result page. A click on the magnifying glass icon beside the Meta title shoots open a pop up which holds the preview. This saves us the trouble of opening every page that appears even mildly lucrative or relevant to our search. This nullifies the scope of falsely luring a user towards promotional pages coated with heavy SEO keywords.

However, if website owners of the world have already begun hatching plans to accommodate this new facet, they should take into account the fact that though the website content isn’t readable, the headline is. Also Flash is nowhere in the picture. Hence the snapshot of the webpage may appear fettered in the preview. For example: If the webpage includes a video, it won’t be featured in the preview. People who access internet from other mediums (cell phones) that do not support flash also face a similar issue. So now is the perfect time to optimize your website in a way that supports all mediums.
