7 WAYS TO GET YOUR COMMENTS APPROVED ON A BLOG

Comments are a great way to communicate and meet new people in your blog’s niche. If the blog is do follow then comments are useful for getting you free backlinks. But if you are a webmaster then you know how annoying it is to get spam comments. Especially if your blog is do follow and it is popular.

But don’t worry. I have written this article for both commentators and comment moderators. As a blogger I use these rules often to moderate a comment. So if your comment is not published then you can actually go through these rules for knowing why. Here I go…

  1. Read the article first. If you don’t understand or not interested in the article stay away from the comment section. But if you think the author has not written the article well then you can express your opinion.
  2. If you are going to make a comment make sure you either support the articleby your own experience or add some missing points to the post.
  3. If you want to say thanks, then mention author name, so that you give a personal touch to the comment.A “thanks vipin” has more effect than a plain “thanks man”.
  4. Use your own name, not the company name or website name. No author will value a comment,if the comment author is “online_marketing” or “make_money”. Its as if somebody is asking you “Can I spam your blog, please?”
  5. You can post negative comments, but not abusive. Feedbacks are always good, it doesn’t matter if it is positive or negative. But you should be polite and careful with your words.
  6. Having a Gravatar will help, since it will atleast tell the blog author that you are a person, not a bot.
  7. If you are leaving your URL in the comment, then be sure to use a URL which is in the same niche as the article. This will be helpful, both for you and the blog author in the long run.No webmaster want to get their link juice shared among sites which are unrelated to their theme.
